Course Description: This course introduces students to the history of social media, the evolution of
social media, the different types of social media platforms that exist, the purpose and mission statement of the platform owners, the various Application Protocol Interface (API) designs and the different types of API access available. This course will also introduce students to the Discover, Develop, and Monitor (D2M) method of conducting social media analysis.
This course is ideal for professionals with little to no experience with social media analysis for work purposes.
